Fortenberry Supports ‘Constructive Solution’

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Jeff Fortenberry this evening voted for the amended Budget Control Act of 2011, which passed the U.S. House of Representatives.  He released the following statement:

"Initially, I'd hoped for a larger agreement, but this helps stop the overspending while paying America's bills.  

"It's a constructive solution, but let's be clear. We're in a very deep hole.  These reforms must continue.  It is important that consideration of a balanced budget amendment is a part of this bill."
