Fortenberry Speaks at March for Life
WASHINGTON, D.C.--Congressman Jeff Fortenberry will spoke at the 39th annual March for Life, the largest national gathering of pro-life Americans. Fortenberry has spoken at the March for Life every year he has served in Congress.
"Each year I am encouraged by the strength of conviction of the hundreds of thousands of good Americans who gather on the National Mall because they believe women deserve better than abortion," said Fortenberry. Abortion hurts women, and is so often the result of abandonment-- by a cruel family, or an uncaring boyfriend, or other tragic circumstances that could be resolved within in a community of love. I believe that we can be big enough and loving enough as a nation to embrace all mothers and their unborn children and truly care for life. I am hopeful that because of the extraordinary witness of young people at the March for Life, we will one day see innocent unborn children protected under the 14th Amendment to the Constitution."
Fortenberry accompanied several groups of Nebraska students to the March, where he is scheduled to address.
