Washington, D.C. – Congressman Jeff Fortenberry made the following statement after today's budget vote:

“The budget process is always difficult. Responsible budgeting involves making choices among many programs with the limited resources before us. The overall budget considered by the House of Representatives this week sets our country on a pathway towards much-needed fiscal stability. This budget suggests some reforms and strengthens health security programs for the next generation. As with any complicated document dealing with major policy issues, I don’t agree with all the components. I voted for the legislation today so we can use it as a blueprint for getting our fiscal house in order.”
