Washington, D.C. – Congressman Jeff Fortenberry today voted to support sending aid to the embattled country of Ukraine. The House of Representatives passed H.R. 4152 by a vote of 385-23.

“I am pleased to stand on the side of the Ukrainian people,” Fortenberry said. “If Russia wants to be treated as part of the responsible community of nations – and have the corresponding benefits – along with it comes the responsibility to cease the aggression. The Ukrainian people are trying to establish a new political system based on their own autonomy and rid themselves of corruption. We need to support them in these efforts.”
