Fortenberry, Johanns to Host ‘U.S. Military Day' for Students Interested in the U.S. Service Academies and Armed Forces
Lincoln, NE -- Congressman Jeff Fortenberry, in conjunction with U.S. Senator Mike Johanns, will host a "U.S Military Day" for high school and college students on Saturday, March 26, at Lincoln Southwest High School.
The "U.S. Military Day" is an opportunity for students and their parents to learn more about military opportunities, particularly the nomination process for U.S. Service Academies. Information regarding National Guard, Reserve, the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC), and other military enlistment options will also be presented.
Representatives from the Army, Air Force, Navy, Merchant Marine, and Coast Guard will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to answer questions and provide information. A program presentation featuring service academy and military representatives will begin at 11 a.m.
