“I am profoundly shocked and sorrowed.  My heart goes out to the victims and their families, and the innocent schoolchildren whose first day back in school was shattered by this craven act.  The hopeful thoughts and prayers of Nebraskans are with these students and teachers, their families, and all members of the Millard South community today.”
